This Company was formed in response to a demand for a service company with a high level of vertical integration within the geoscience. During the 1990s the company conducted 2D seismic surveys for Petrobras.

In 1996 the company was co-financed by El Instituto Colombiano para el Desarrollo de la Ciencia y la Tecnología - Colciencias a seven years Seismic Recording Equipment 16 Channels project. The project was successfully completed in 2003.

CSG's scientific expertise and cutting edge 24 bit seismic data gathering technology (radio frequency telemetry) makes today's geophysical exploration less risky and cost effective.

As well as specialised seismic data acquisition equipment, vehicles, drilling equipment , and mobile camps, able to conduct the most technically and logistically difficult projects in Colombia.
