IDS, spawned by family ties to the grief-stricken Gulf Coast region, was initially formed to assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina. In the days following the devastation, Gulf Coast hotels and public housing facilities were either destroyed or occupied with displaced victims.
A visionary design and innovative application resulted in the production of the first Disaster Relief Unit, which was customized for family housing. As the prototype was developed, additional uses were identified leading IDS to develop a full range of emergency solutions using an ISO cargo container as the base of all design concepts.

Other services available include field & laboratory NDE / NDT services as well as ASME, API & AWS code inspection.
