The History of Capstone :
Since 1988, Capstone Turbine Corporation has earned industry recognition in the research, development, and field applications of advanced gas turbine-driven generator technology. The company’s flagship product is the Capstone MicroTurbine power generation system.
Nanjing Turbine & Electric Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter NTC, former name was Nanjing Turbine & Electric Machinery Works, which was founded in 1956, and was changed to be a full state-owned company in July of 1995) after completing the ownership reformation in Sep. of 2004, now is a joint venture enterprise of Nanjing and HongKong. It covers 425,000 square meters area and owns 2115 staff. There are over 1600 sets of production equipment, in which, more than 190 are precision and large size machining tools. The main products are heavy-duty gas turbine generating unit, steam turbine generating unit, gas-steam combined cycle unit, co-gen. steam turbine unit and generator as well as large & medium sized synchronized / asynchronized motors, which forms annual production output integration of 10000MW.
The Ural Turbine Works, entering the company group RENOVA, operates on basis of long-term experience of former Turbomotor Works Corporation.
UTW is one of the leading Russian machine-building plants in design and manufacturing of power-generating equipment. Nowadays, enterprise, founded in 1938, specializes in producing of extraction steam turbines and gas turbines, gas compression units for natural gas.
In Russia and CIS countries UTW has about a half of all the mounted cogeneration turbines capacity. UTW Gas compression units are working on well-known gas pipelines such as Siberia-Western Europe gas pipeline.
